FAST FASHION
Annually, 100 billion new garments are produced. But one third of them is not sold, never worn and shredded or burned.
FAST FASHION is a project that raises the issue in the fashion industry. Issues like the high CO2 emissions, the increasing water consumption, and the overproduction and eventually burning of clothes.
These days it’s been hidden by the fashion industry, but this matter is important to address. And although it is getting better, fast fashion still exists. The short life-cycle of the clothes, makes the world suffer slowly. Brands need to take the responsibility of the overproduced clothes and need to think of a better solution.
You can make an impact too. By buying clothes of better quality, the fast fashion supply chain will slowly be toned down.
*All the clothes and products that have been used in this project are second-hand, therefore I did not contribute to the fast fashion supply.
